ISO 9001:2015 is the foundation on which IATF 16949 - the OEM-mandated quality management system for the global automotive industry - is built. Volkswagen, BMW, Daimler, Bosch, Continental, ZF and every other major manufacturer require IATF 16949 from their tier-one suppliers, who in turn pass the expectation down the chain. For a Tier 2 or Tier 3 supplier, ISO 9001:2015 is the on-ramp to IATF 16949 - and the door to OEM contracts.

AS9100

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Aerospace contracts begin where ISO 9001:2015 ends - AS9100 takes you the rest of the way.

Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce and every other aerospace prime require AS9100 (or its European equivalent EN 9100) from their suppliers. AS9100 is a sector-specific extension of ISO 9001:2015 with added requirements for product safety, configuration management and counterfeit-parts prevention. Without ISO 9001:2015 maturity first, AS9100 certification is rarely achievable.
